Two ways, switchable any time with the toggle at the top of the game screen. Pad: type the three-dart total (or tap a quick key such as 26, 60, 100, 140, 180) and press ✓. Board: tap the segment you hit — the outer ring is the double, the inner ring the treble, the centre 25 / Bull. The remaining score updates after every dart. Undo takes back the last dart or the last typed visit.
Standard X01 rules: you bust when your score goes below zero, when it lands on 1 with double-out (or master-out) on, or when you reach exactly zero without finishing on a double (double-out) or a double/treble (master-out). After a bust the score goes back to what it was at the start of the visit and the visit counts as three darts. You can change the in/out rules when you set up a game.
When the total you typed finishes the leg, the app needs the number of darts for your averages and best-leg statistic. It only offers the counts that are possible for that score.
When you are on a finish (170 or less with a valid route), the game screen shows the standard route, plus alternatives when they need the same number of darts. The suggestion respects the darts you still have in hand and the out rule (double, master or straight). In the free version suggestions are shown for 40 and below; Oche Pro shows the full table from 2 to 170.
Check the speaker button on the game screen and Settings › Caller voice. The caller uses Apple's on-device voices and plays even with the silent switch on; make sure the media volume is up. The caller speaks your app language when a voice for it is installed on the device (Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices), otherwise English.
Turn the phone sideways during a game. The screen splits into two halves facing each other, the far one rotated 180° so the opponent reads their own score, with the input pad on the side of the player who is throwing. Pro adds board colours for table mode.
3-dart average = points scored ÷ darts thrown × 3, where a bust counts as three darts and zero points and a checkout counts the darts actually used. First 9 uses the first three visits of every leg. Checkout % = legs finished ÷ visits that started on a finishable score (170 or less with a valid route for the out rule). Best leg is the fewest darts in a leg you won.
Close 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and bull with three marks each (single = 1, double = 2, treble = 3). Extra marks on a number you have closed score points (the number, or 25 per mark for the bull) as long as an opponent still has it open. Win by closing everything with at least as many points as everyone else. Cut-throat: extra marks give points to opponents who have not closed the number; lowest points wins.
Unlimited players and bot opponents (40 / 60 / 80 average), Cricket and cut-throat, the full checkout table, full statistics and match history, the trend chart, CSV export and table-mode themes. One purchase, no subscription. Use Restore Purchases in Settings on a new device.
