Frequently asked questions

I used HabitMint. Where is my data?

HabitMint became Main Arc. Your habits, history, a running Lock-In and Pro all carried over: a Lock-In continues as your arc with the same days, streak and shields. Habits that are not rules of your arc are kept too — you can add them back as rules when you start a new arc.

What counts as a kept day?

A day counts when every rule due that day is ticked. Forgot to tick? You can still fix yesterday until midnight. Days with no rule due count as rest days.

What are shields?

Shields are streak insurance. You start with one and earn another every 7 kept days (up to two). If a day is missed and can no longer be fixed, a shield covers it — the streak survives, but the day isn't counted as kept.

Apple Health isn't ticking my rules

Automatic ticking is part of Main Arc Pro. Check that access is on in Health › Sharing › Apps › Main Arc, and that the rule has a goal under Edit rule › Apple Health. Health updates the app about once an hour in the background; opening the app refreshes it at once. If you untick an auto-ticked rule, it stays unticked for that day.

Widgets and the Lock Screen countdown

Add widgets from the Home Screen or Lock Screen gallery (search "Main Arc"). The medium widget and the Lock Screen countdown let you tick rules without opening the app. The countdown can be turned off in Settings › Lock Screen countdown.

How do I restore or cancel Pro?

Restore: Settings › Restore purchases with the same Apple ID. Cancel the monthly plan in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Main Arc. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my data?

Delete progress photos from the photo viewer. Deleting the app removes all local data. Synced rules and ticks can be removed in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage. We keep no copies — there is no account and no server of ours.
