Privacy Policy

TL;DR

Tilly collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no ads and no third-party SDK. Your countdowns and the photos you pick stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database that only your devices can read. We operate no servers and never see your data.

Who we are

Tilly – Countdown Widget is an iPhone and iPad app published by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. Contact: homasglobal443@gmail.com.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts and never asks for your name, email address or any identifier. It makes no network requests to us or to any third party. In the App Store privacy label Tilly is declared as "Data Not Collected".

What the app stores and where

Countdowns. Title, date, icon, colour, repeat and reminder settings are stored on your device in the app's private storage.
Photos. If you choose a photo as a card background, Tilly asks the system photo picker for that one image. The picker runs outside the app, so Tilly never gets access to your photo library — only the picture you selected. The image is downsized (at most 1200 px) and stored with the countdown. It is never uploaded anywhere except your own iCloud (see below).
iCloud sync. Tilly uses Apple's CloudKit private database, which is tied to your Apple ID and encrypted by Apple. Only your signed-in devices can read it; we have no access to it. If iCloud is turned off for Tilly, everything stays local and the app works exactly the same.
Widgets and Live Activity. To draw widgets and the Dynamic Island, the app writes a small copy of your countdown list (and any card photos) into a shared container on the device that only Tilly's own extensions can read. Nothing leaves the device.
Calendar (optional). "From Calendar" lists your next 90 days of events so you can turn one into a countdown with a tap. Reading happens on the device only when you open that list; Tilly stores no calendar data.
Reminders. Optional reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push server is involved. Permission is requested only when you switch a reminder on.
Shared images. When you share a countdown card, the image is generated on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice.
Device backups. Like any app data, Tilly's data may be part of your iCloud or computer backup, governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Permissions

Tilly never asks for contacts, location, microphone or camera access. It uses the system photo picker (no library permission needed) and, only if you enable a reminder, notification permission. Calendar access is requested only when you tap From Calendar in the editor: Tilly reads the titles and dates of your upcoming events on the device to prefill a countdown, keeps nothing but the countdown you create, and sends nothing anywhere.

Purchases

Tilly is free with an optional Tilly Pro upgrade: a yearly subscription (with a 3-day free trial), a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Purchase status is checked with Apple's StoreKit on your device; the app stores only a yes/no flag locally so Pro keeps working offline.

Analytics, ads and third parties

The app contains no analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising and no third-party code other than Apple's own iOS frameworks. We do not use cookies or any form of tracking, and we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined in laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — because we never have any.

Deleting your data

Delete a countdown from its page or with a long press in the list; the change syncs to your other devices through iCloud. Deleting the app removes all local data. To remove the iCloud copy as well, go to iOS Settings › Apple ID › iCloud › Manage Storage › Tilly › Delete data.

Children

Tilly does not collect data from anyone, including children, and its content is appropriate for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. Since the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare.
