The service
Invoice Tools provides free, browser-based generators for invoices, receipts, estimates and similar documents. You may use them for personal or commercial purposes without charge and without attribution. The generated documents are yours.
No professional advice
The explanatory text on these pages is general information about invoicing practice in the United States and United Kingdom. It is not legal, tax or accounting advice, may not reflect the latest rules in your state or country, and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legal compliance of any document you create, including tax rates and mandatory wording that apply to your business.
No warranty
The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do our best to keep the calculations correct and the pages working, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Always check the figures on a document before sending it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, these tools or any document generated with them, including lost payments, tax penalties or disputes with your customers.
Acceptable use
Do not use the tools to create fraudulent, misleading or unlawful documents. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or to scrape the pages in a way that burdens the server.
Third-party software
PDF generation uses the open-source jsPDF library, loaded from a public content delivery network under its own license (MIT). We are not responsible for the availability of that network.
Changes
We may change these terms or the tools at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
